▒ Counter Strike란 무엇인가?
Counter-Strike(이하 CS)는 최고의 게임인 Half-Life의 MOD(modification)이다. CS는 Half-Life의 멀티플레이 부분에 초점을 맞추어 개발되었으며 두 팀으로 나누어져 즐긴다. Team Fortress2 와 많이 다르지 않지만 Counter-Strike는 잘 훈련된 counter-terrorist(테러진압부대)와 그 반대인 terrorist(테러리스트)의 느낌을 잘 살리고 있다.
CS는 테러리스트와 반대편인 테러진압부대로 팀을 이루어 즐기는 게임이다. 각 팀은 서로 다른 능력, 다른 무기, 다른 장비를 가지고 시작하며 각 맵은 테러진압부대의 입장에서 봤을때 인질 구출, VIP 호송, 폭탄 해체등의 목표를 가지고 있다.
무기체계는 pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, sniper rifle등의 총기류를 비롯해서 grenade, demolition device등으로 분류된다. 각 팀은 자기 팀만이 쓸수 있는 무기도 나누어져 있다. 예를 들어 테러진압부대는 M4A1을 사용할 수 있으며 AK-47은 테러리스트만 쓸수 있다.
